About
The study was done in order to identify the pathogenic serovars of Leptospira and to identify the possible reservoir animals for each serovar. Nested PCR targeting the flaB gene (732bp) together with DNA sequencing was used in the study. There were two study locations, Peradeniya Teaching Hospital and Ragama Teaching Hospital Sri Lanka.
Currently working on clinical and molecu;ar epidemiological studies on Dengue virus in Sri Lanka, and molecular ecological surveys on Hantavirus and Leptospirosis in Kandy district of Sri Lanka
